Brown-throated Parakeet (Aratinga pertinax)
Orinoco River, north of Puerto Ayacucho. Apure Province, VENEZUELA/COLOMBIA border. South America.
RANGE: w Panama, n Colombia, Guianas, n Amazonian Brazil, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire & Orinoco in Venezuela.
It is found in wooded areas, cactus thickets and corn fields where it feeds on fruit and seeds. It is the most common parakeet in the lowlands.
