A conservative minimum of 25 bird deaths per day.
Amounting to approx 10,000 deaths per year of a mix of 20 species.
There are peaks in the hot season and lows in the others.
Approx ratio of species killed on the road as follows:
Yellow Warbler 51%
Small Ground Finch 16%
Medium Ground Finch 9%
Smooth-billed Ani 4% INTRODUCED
Mockingbird 3%
Dark-billed Cuckoo 2%
Small Tree Finch 2%
Paint-billed crake 1%
Owls less than 1%
