Ladder Snake (Elaphe scalaris)
Sierra de Andújar Natural Park, Mediterranean woodland of Sierra Morena, north east Jaén Province, Andalusia. SPAIN
RANGE: Iberia, Mediterranean littoral of France, Iles of d'Hyeres & Minorca.
Largely diurnal and often found in sunny, stony habitats with some bush vegetation. They feed on small mammals it rodents and rabbits but also on birds.
