Sakalava woman
Sakalava woman wearing traditional braided and knotted hair style. The ancestors of this tribe are from mainland Africa. The Sakalavas live along the west coast of Madagascar and are mainly cattle herders and those close to the ocean are fishermen. Her gold teeth are a sign of prosperity.
