South American or Ringtailed Coati (Nasua nasua)

RANGE: Tropical lowlands, dry high-altitude forests, oak forests, mesquite frassland and on the edge of forests in Southern North America, Central and South America.
These animals are omniverous feeding on fruit and invertebrates. They usually live in family bands, made up of females and young. Males tend to be solitary. They live about 7 - 10 years.
