Piroques

Piroques or outrigger canoes going out to sea from the Bombetoka delta for the day to fish. The narrow wooden canoes with their one stabalizer are remarkably sea worthy. The sails are made from cotton and repaired regularly with odd pieces of sacking to make an interesting patchwork.
